Growing up in New Jersey, lacrosse was Beth's sport of passion. She attended Cherry Hill High School East, where she was team captain, all-state selection, high-scorer & selected to the Garden State Games. Beth played lacrosse for one year at Towson University in Baltimore, MD before hanging up her cleats. She returned to the game 8 years ago when the sport first came to Frisco and has been involved in growing the sport here ever since. Beth has coached at every age level over the last 8 years and prides herself on knowing all the Fury players by name. Under her direction, the HS team went undefeated their inaugural Varsity season and went on to win 2 back to back North Texas district championships, taking the team to the State Championships three times. The team has players selected to All-State, All-District, All-Academic and represent on Team Texas. We now have Fury girls playing at D1, D2 & D3 colleges. Beth is passionate about the Girls Lacrosse Club of Frisco and helping girls reach their potential in the sport. She is currently the Program Director and coaches where the need is greatest. I was born in Maryland and moved to Frisco, Texas in the 9th grade. At the time Frisco did not have a lacrosse team so I played for Plano with Jordan Little, our High School assistant coach. Upon graduation I went to the University of Mount Olive where I placed lacrosse at the DII level. I then moved to Liberty University to finish out my college years play at the DI level. I was a defender at both universities.
I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science Fitness Specialist. I am currently working at Rogers Elementary School as the FLEX teacher as well as coaching swim lessons at Texas Ford Aquatics. I had so much fun coaching last year and look forward to another great year with GLCOF!!
2016 Princeton graduate, Maddy was a starting defender for the D1 Tigers during her 4 years at Princeton.
During her time in orange & black.... Princeton appeared in the NCAA tournament three times, making it to the elite 8 her junior (favorite) year.
Philly native (go birds!) and was a 4 year starting midfielder for my hometown Springfield Cougars and twice named an Underarmour All-American and Academic All-American. ESPN’s top girls lacrosse ranked me the No. 14 attacker in the nation my senior year (2012, the year I peaked).
Maddy coached at the Princeton Women’s Lacrosse summer Tiger camp and Elite camp for the past 5 years, as well as coached 5th & 6th grade lacrosse for Next Level in Bethesda, MD for the 2017-2018 season.
7/8 Age Level Coordinator
Christy Besel is married and has two daughters, ages 13 and 11. Lacrosse became a part of her life when her oldest daughter, Kate, decided she wanted to try playing it as a 3rd grader 6 years ago. Christy has spent the last 6 years learning about this sport and watching Kate's love of this sport grow. Kate not only plays on the Fury 7/8 team but she also plays with 214. Christy welcomes the opportunity to help support Frisco Fury's 7/8 teams, coaches and families as the age level coordinator.
A dancer all her life, Jennifer was first introduced to lacrosse 8 years ago when her son started playing. Her family became huge fans of the sport, and she was thrilled when her daughter decided to pick up a stick with Fury 4 years ago. Jennifer is a native Texan but has lived in various areas of Texas. Frisco has been home for the past 12 years. She graduated from The University of North Texas with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accounting. Following graduation she spent 5 years in the tech industry performing internal audits which required extensive domestic and occasional international travel. While the traveling was fun, Jennifer hung up her hat and is now a stay-at-home mom who volunteers for several organizations... most importantly, the Frisco Fury!
